Da bi se postigle naprednije funkcije i ve\u0107i broj slojeva, PCB podloge moraju imati ve\u0107u otpornost na toplotu kao osnovni zahtjev. Tako\u0111er, kod visokog gustog sklapanja poput SMT i tehnologija monta\u017ee \u010dipova, te s trendovima ka tanjim plo\u010dama, manjim rupama i finijim rasporedom tragova, toplinska otpornost podloge postaje kriti\u010dna.<\/div><div class=\"auto-hide-last-sibling-br paragraph-JOTKXA paragraph-element br-paragraph-space\">Razlika izme\u0111u tipi\u010dnog FR-4 i visokotemperaturnog FR-4 o\u010dituje se na mnogo na\u010dina.  Mehani\u010dka \u010dvrsto\u0107a, adhezija, upijanje vode, dimenzionalna stabilnost i termi\u010dko pona\u0161anje nakon upijanja vlage se razlikuju. Da bi pouzdano radile na takvim temperaturama, moramo koristiti materijale namijenjene visokim temperaturama. Jedan uobi\u010dajen izbor je FR-4.
