Processen er enkel og hurtig. Selv n\u00e5r pladerne uds\u00e6ttes for varme, fugtighed eller forurening, bevarer s\u00f8lvet sin gode loddeevne. S\u00f8lvlaget kan dog miste sin glans. S\u00e6nks\u00f8lv har ikke den fysiske styrke, som kemisk nikkel\/dybs\u00f8lv har. Det skyldes, at der ikke er noget nikkellag under s\u00f8lvet.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"456\" data-end=\"518\">Kernekomponenterne i s\u00f8lvbadet og deres roller<\/h2><p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"783\">Formlen p\u00e5 s\u00f8lvdypbadet er direkte afg\u00f8rende for s\u00f8lvlagets kvalitet. Hovedkomponenterne omfatter s\u00f8lvsalt, kompleksdanner, syreregulator og tils\u00e6tningsstoffer. Disse dele arbejder sammen om at kontrollere reaktionshastigheden og s\u00f8lvlagets form.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"799\">S\u00f8lvsalt<\/h3><p data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"1192\">S\u00f8lvsalt giver s\u00f8lvioner. S\u00f8lvnitrat (AgNO\u2083) er almindeligt anvendt. Den typiske koncentration er 5-15 g\/L. Hvis koncentrationen er for lav, er s\u00f8lvlaget for tyndt (mindre end 0,1 \u03bcm) og kan ikke beskytte kobberet godt. Hvis koncentrationen er for h\u00f8j, kan reaktionen v\u00e6re for st\u00e6rk, og s\u00f8lvet kan vokse som dendritter. Det g\u00f8r overfladen ru (overfladeruhed Ra &gt; 0,5 \u03bcm).<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1213\">Kompleksdannende middel<\/h3><p data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1678\">Almindelige kompleksdannere er ammoniak eller organiske aminer. Hvis forholdet er for h\u00f8jt, bliver deponeringshastigheden for langsom (mindre end 0,05 \u03bcm\/min). Hvis forholdet er for lavt, kan reaktionen ikke kontrolleres godt, og s\u00f8lvlaget kan have pinholes.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1697\">Syre-regulator<\/h3><p data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"2036\">Myresyre eller eddikesyre bruges ofte til at indstille badets pH-v\u00e6rdi til ca. 3,5-5,5. Hvis pH er mindre end 3,5, falder kompleksets stabilitet, og der kommer flere frie s\u00f8lvioner, s\u00e5 reaktionen bliver voldsom. Hvis pH er mere end 5,5, kan kobberioner danne kobberhydroxidudf\u00e6ldning og forurene s\u00f8lvlaget. Det kan give sorte pletter.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2038\" data-end=\"2050\">Tils\u00e6tningsstoffer<\/h3><p data-start=\"2051\" data-end=\"2459\">Tils\u00e6tningsstoffer omfatter overfladeaktive stoffer (f.eks. natriumdodecylsulfat) og korrosionsinhibitorer (f.eks. benzotriazol). Overfladeaktive stoffer reducerer opl\u00f8sningens overfladesp\u00e6nding til under 30 mN\/m og hj\u00e6lper s\u00f8lvet med at d\u00e6kke j\u00e6vnt, is\u00e6r inde i via-huller og i hj\u00f8rneomr\u00e5der. Korrosionsinhibitorer undertrykker overdreven kobberopl\u00f8sning. Kobberionniveauet skal holdes under 2 g\/L for at undg\u00e5 hulrum i s\u00f8lvlaget.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"2461\" data-end=\"2493\">Trin i neds\u00e6nkningss\u00f8lvprocessen<\/h2><p data-start=\"2495\" data-end=\"2586\">Neds\u00e6nkningss\u00f8lv har tre hovedtrin: fordybning, neds\u00e6nkning og afsluttende skylning med afioniseret vand.<\/p><p data-start=\"2588\" data-end=\"3488\">Et pre-dip har tre form\u00e5l. For det f\u00f8rste fungerer det som en offeropl\u00f8sning. Den forhindrer kobber og andre forurenende stoffer i at blive f\u00f8rt ind i neds\u00e6nkningsbadet fra mikro\u00e6tsetanken. For det andet giver det en ren kobberoverflade til fortr\u00e6ngningsreaktionen. Kobberoverfladen i pre-dip f\u00e5r det samme kemiske milj\u00f8 og pH-v\u00e6rdi som neds\u00e6nkningsbadet. For det tredje, fordi pre-dip har samme sammens\u00e6tning som neds\u00e6nkningsbadet bortset fra metallisk s\u00f8lv, udg\u00f8r det automatisk neds\u00e6nkningsbeholderen. I neds\u00e6nkningsreaktionen er det eneste materiale, der forbruges, metallisk s\u00f8lv. De organiske dele i badet \u00e6ndrer sig kun, fordi en del af opl\u00f8sningen sker via pladerne. Hvis pre-dip og immersionsopl\u00f8sningen har samme sammens\u00e6tning, er den m\u00e6ngde, der f\u00f8res ind i pre-dip, lig med den m\u00e6ngde, der f\u00f8res ud i immersionsbadet. Dette forhindrer un\u00f8dvendig ophobning af organiske stoffer i neds\u00e6nkningsbadet.<\/p><p data-start=\"3490\" data-end=\"3946\">Neds\u00e6nkningsreaktionen sker ved en forskydningsreaktion mellem kobber- og s\u00f8lvioner. Hvis kobberoverfladen mikro\u00e6tses med en AlphaSTAR-mikro\u00e6tsel\u00f8sning, er resultatet en kobberoverflade, der langsomt kan udvikle et ensartet s\u00f8lvlag under en kontrolleret neds\u00e6nkningshastighed. En langsom neds\u00e6nkningshastighed hj\u00e6lper med at danne t\u00e6tte krystalstrukturer og undg\u00e5r partikelv\u00e6kst, der kommer fra hurtig udf\u00e6ldning og agglomerering. Det giver et s\u00f8lvlag med h\u00f8j densitet.<\/p><p data-start=\"3948\" data-end=\"4217\">Denne t\u00e6tte struktur med en moderat tykkelse p\u00e5 ca. 6-12 \u00b5in (mikrotommer) giver ikke kun god korrosionsbestandighed, men ogs\u00e5 meget god ledningsevne. Neds\u00e6nknings-s\u00f8lvbadet er stabilt og har en lang levetid. Det er ikke s\u00e6rlig f\u00f8lsomt over for lys eller sporhalogenider.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"4219\" data-end=\"4287\">Sammenligning af ydeevne: Immersion Silver vs. Immersion Gold (ENIG)<\/h2><p data-start=\"4289\" data-end=\"4488\">Immersionsguld, som er kemisk nikkel med immersionsguld, er en almindelig high-end PCB-overfladebehandling. De vigtigste forskelle mellem neds\u00e6nket guld og neds\u00e6nket s\u00f8lv ligger i ydeevne og pris.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"4490\" data-end=\"4513\">Modstandsdygtighed over for korrosion<\/h3><p data-start=\"4514\" data-end=\"5160\">En stak af dyppeguld best\u00e5r ofte af et nikkellag p\u00e5 5-10 \u03bcm plus et guldlag p\u00e5 0,05-0,1 \u03bcm. Nikkellaget isolerer kobberet og giver meget bedre korrosionsbestandighed end dyppes\u00f8lv. Efter en 1000-timers test med fugtig varme viser guldlaget kun sm\u00e5 \u00e6ndringer, mens s\u00f8lvlaget kan udvise en let oxidering. I meget fugtige og forurenede milj\u00f8er, som f.eks. industrikontrol, viser guldinddampning klare fordele med hensyn til p\u00e5lidelighed. I normale milj\u00f8er, som f.eks. forbrugerelektronik, kan s\u00f8lvet opfylde kravene. Holdbarheden for dyks\u00f8lv er stabil i ca. 12 m\u00e5neder under normal opbevaring.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"5162\" data-end=\"5186\">Loddeevne<\/h3><p data-start=\"5187\" data-end=\"5746\">Neds\u00e6nkningss\u00f8lv har en loddebefugtning (spredning) p\u00e5 ca. 80-85%. Det er lidt bedre end dybs\u00f8lv p\u00e5 75-80%, fordi s\u00f8lv har st\u00f8rre affinitet til loddetin. Men loddesamlingens styrke for dyppeguld er i gennemsnit 6-7 N, hvilket er h\u00f8jere end dyppes\u00f8lv p\u00e5 5-6 N. Det skyldes, at nikkellaget binder bedre til kobber. Til fine loddefuger (mindre end 0,2 mm) kan ensartetheden af dyks\u00f8lv v\u00e6re mere nyttig til udskrivning af loddepasta. Til store loddefuger (st\u00f8rre end 1 mm) viser dyppeguld bedre langsigtet p\u00e5lidelighed.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"5748\" data-end=\"5767\">Omkostninger og proces<\/h3><p data-start=\"5768\" data-end=\"6307\">Neds\u00e6nket s\u00f8lv koster ca. 50-60% af neds\u00e6nket guld. Det skyldes prim\u00e6rt, at guldsalte koster meget mere end s\u00f8lvsalte. Neds\u00e6nket s\u00f8lv kr\u00e6ver ogs\u00e5 f\u00e6rre procestrin, fordi man ikke beh\u00f8ver at plettere nikkel. Produktionseffektiviteten er h\u00f8jere, og behandlingstiden for en enkelt batch kan v\u00e6re ca. 30% kortere. Men neds\u00e6nkningsguld har et bredere procesvindue og t\u00e5ler bedre parametervariation. Neds\u00e6nket s\u00f8lv kr\u00e6ver strengere kontrol af opl\u00f8sningens sammens\u00e6tning. For eksempel b\u00f8r afvigelsen i s\u00f8lvionkoncentrationen v\u00e6re mindre end 1 g\/L.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"6309\" data-end=\"6348\">Forholdsregler ved brug af kemisk s\u00f8lv<\/h2><p data-start=\"6350\" data-end=\"6420\">Nedenfor er der anbefalinger for betjening og h\u00e5ndtering af dykkers\u00f8lv.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"6422\" data-end=\"6452\">1. H\u00e5ndter pladerne forsigtigt.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h3>2. Anbefalinger til stansning og fr\u00e6sning<\/h3><ol data-start=\"6846\" data-end=\"7145\"><li data-start=\"6846\" data-end=\"7004\"><p data-start=\"6849\" data-end=\"7004\">Fors\u00f8lvningsprocessen s\u00e6ttes normalt ind som et sent trin i printkortproduktionen. Det anbefales ikke at udf\u00f8re fors\u00f8lvning f\u00f8r routing eller endelig formgivning.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7005\" data-end=\"7145\"><p data-start=\"7008\" data-end=\"7145\">Efter neds\u00e6nkning af s\u00f8lv og f\u00f8r fr\u00e6sning l\u00e6gges svovlfrit papir mellem lagene og mellem top- og bundplader for at forhindre ridser.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h3 data-start=\"7147\" data-end=\"7202\">3. Anbefalinger for reng\u00f8ring af fors\u00f8lvede plader<\/h3><ol data-start=\"7203\" data-end=\"7413\"><li data-start=\"7203\" data-end=\"7270\"><p data-start=\"7206\" data-end=\"7270\">Brug ikke overfladeaktive stoffer eller sure reng\u00f8ringsmidler p\u00e5 s\u00f8lvoverfladen.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7271\" data-end=\"7320\"><p data-start=\"7274\" data-end=\"7320\">Gnid ikke s\u00f8lvoverfladen med et viskel\u00e6der.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7321\" data-end=\"7413\"><p data-start=\"7324\" data-end=\"7413\">Reng\u00f8r kun s\u00f8lvoverfladen med rent vand eller ved hj\u00e6lp af elektrostatiske reng\u00f8ringsmetoder.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h3>4. Anbefalinger for emballering og opbevaring<\/h3><ol data-start=\"7459\" data-end=\"8769\"><li data-start=\"7459\" data-end=\"7653\"><p data-start=\"7462\" data-end=\"7653\">N\u00e5r pladerne kommer af linjen, skal de hurtigt flyttes til et ikke-\u00e6tsende milj\u00f8 med temperatur- og fugtighedskontrol. Hold opbevaringstemperaturen under 30\u00b0C og den relative luftfugtighed under 50%.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7654\" data-end=\"7783\"><p data-start=\"7657\" data-end=\"7783\">Efter inspektion vakuumforsegles pladerne s\u00e5 hurtigt som muligt. Afslut vakuumpakningen inden for 8 timer og ikke mere end 24 timer.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7784\" data-end=\"8234\"><p data-start=\"7787\" data-end=\"8234\">Indpakningsmuligheder:<br \/>A. Pak 10-20 br\u00e6dder som en enhed. Brug svovl- og klorfrit papir mellem hvert br\u00e6t. D\u00e6k top og bund med 2-3 ark svovlfrit papir. Vakuumforsegl. Dette kan holde br\u00e6dderne i op til seks m\u00e5neder.<br \/>B. Pak 10-20 kort som en enhed uden papiradskillere. De \u00f8verste og nederste plader ber\u00f8rer loddesiden p\u00e5 emballagefilmen. Denne metode kan kun opbevares i ca. 2 m\u00e5neder. Brug kun denne metode efter aftale med kunden.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"8235\" data-end=\"8330\"><p data-start=\"8238\" data-end=\"8330\">L\u00e6g ikke t\u00f8rremiddel i s\u00f8lvemballage, fordi mange t\u00f8rremidler indeholder svovl.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"8331\" data-end=\"8485\"><p data-start=\"8334\" data-end=\"8485\">Brug ikke selvkl\u00e6bende tape, klisterm\u00e6rker, bl\u00e6km\u00e6rker eller elastikker p\u00e5 s\u00f8lvplader eller p\u00e5 svovlfrit papir. Dette forhindrer stort skrot fra eksponeret kobber i stor skala.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h3 data-start=\"10200\" data-end=\"10234\">9. Krav til deioniseret vand<\/h3><ol data-start=\"10235\" data-end=\"10817\"><li data-start=\"10235\" data-end=\"10426\"><p data-start=\"10238\" data-end=\"10426\">Kvaliteten af skyllevandet efter neds\u00e6nkning af s\u00f8lv har direkte indflydelse p\u00e5 den f\u00e6rdige plades ionrenhed. finish that sits between organic coatings and electroless nickel\/immersion gold. The process is simple and fast. Even when boards see heat, humidity, or contamination, silver keeps good solderability. The silver layer can lose shine though. Immersion silver does not have the physical strength that electroless nickel\/immersion gold has. This is because there is no nickel layer under the silver.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"456\" data-end=\"518\">Core Components of the Immersion Silver Bath and Their Roles<\/h2><p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"783\">The formula of the immersion silver bath directly decides the quality of the silver layer. The main components include silver salt, complexing agent, acid regulator, and additives. These parts work together to control the reaction rate and the silver layer shape.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"799\">Silver salt<\/h3><p data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"1192\">Silver salt gives the silver ions. Silver nitrate (AgNO\u2083) is commonly used. Typical concentration is 5\u201315 g\/L. If the concentration is too low, the silver layer is too thin (less than 0.1 \u03bcm) and cannot protect the copper well. If the concentration is too high, the reaction can be too strong and the silver may grow as dendrites. That makes the surface rough (surface roughness Ra &gt; 0.5 \u03bcm).<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1213\">Complexing agent<\/h3><p data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1678\">Common complexers are ammonia or organic amines. They form a stable complex with silver ions, for example [Ag(NH\u2083)\u2082]\u207a. This lowers the free silver ion level and slows the reaction. First, it acts as a sacrificial solution. It prevents copper and other contaminants from being carried into the immersion bath from the micro-etch tank. Second, it gives a clean copper surface for the displacement reaction. The copper surface in the pre-dip obtains the same chemical environment and pH as the immersion bath. Third, because the pre-dip has the same composition as the immersion bath except for metallic silver, it automatically makes up the immersion tank. In the immersion reaction the only consumed material is metallic silver. The organic parts in the bath change only because some solution is carried out by the boards. If the pre-dip and the immersion solution share the same composition, the amount carried in by the pre-dip equals the amount carried out by the immersion bath. This prevents unnecessary build-up of organics in the immersion bath.<\/p><p data-start=\"3490\" data-end=\"3946\">The immersion reaction occurs by a displacement reaction between copper and silver ions. If the copper surface is micro-etched by an AlphaSTAR micro-etch solution, the result is a copper surface that can slowly develop a uniform silver layer under a controlled immersion rate. A slow immersion rate helps form dense crystal structures and avoids particle growth that comes from fast precipitation and agglomeration. That yields a high-density silver layer.<\/p><p data-start=\"3948\" data-end=\"4217\">This dense structure, at a moderate thickness of about 6\u201312 \u00b5in (microinches), not only gives good corrosion resistance but also very good conductivity. The immersion silver bath is stable and has a long service life. The nickel layer isolates copper and gives much better corrosion resistance than immersion silver. After a 1000-hour damp heat test, the immersion gold layer shows little change, while the immersion silver layer may display slight oxidation. In very humid and polluted environments, like industrial control, immersion gold shows clear reliability advantages. In normal environments, such as consumer electronics, immersion silver can meet requirements. For large solder joints (greater than 1 mm), immersion gold shows better long-term reliability.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"5748\" data-end=\"5767\">Cost and process<\/h3><p data-start=\"5768\" data-end=\"6307\">Immersion silver costs about 50\u201360% of immersion gold. This is mainly because gold salts cost much more than silver salts. Immersion silver also needs fewer process steps because you do not need to plate nickel. The production efficiency is higher and a single batch processing time can be about 30% shorter. But immersion gold has a wider process window and tolerates parameter variation better. Immersion silver requires stricter control of solution composition. For example, silver ion concentration deviation should be less than 1 g\/L.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"6309\" data-end=\"6348\">Chemical Silver Operation Precautions<\/h2><p data-start=\"6350\" data-end=\"6420\">Below are operation and handling recommendations for immersion silver.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"6422\" data-end=\"6452\">1. Handling recommendations<\/h3><ol data-start=\"6453\" data-end=\"6801\"><li data-start=\"6453\" data-end=\"6560\"><p data-start=\"6456\" data-end=\"6560\">At every step after immersion silver treatment, wear clean, sulfur-free gloves when handling the boards.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"6561\" data-end=\"6644\"><p data-start=\"6564\" data-end=\"6644\">When you inspect boards after immersion silver, place them on sulfur-free paper.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"6645\" data-end=\"6727\"><p data-start=\"6648\" data-end=\"6727\">Avoid exposing the silver layer to sulfur or chlorine compounds at every stage.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"6728\" data-end=\"6801\"><p data-start=\"6731\" data-end=\"6801\">The silver layer is thin and can scratch easily. Handle boards gently.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h3>2. It is mainly designed to solve the galvanic effect on fine PCB lines.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"11220\" data-end=\"11268\">How Pre-treatment Affects Silver Layer Quality<\/h2><p data-start=\"11270\" data-end=\"11448\">The quality of pre-treatment on the PCB copper is the basis for a uniform silver layer. Steps like degreasing, micro-etch, and acid wash ensure the copper is clean and activated.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"11450\" data-end=\"11463\">Degreasing<\/h3><p data-start=\"11464\" data-end=\"11861\">Use an alkaline degreaser (pH 10\u201312) to remove oil and dirt from copper, such as fingerprints and cutting fluid. Typical temperature is 50\u201360\u00b0C and time is 1\u20132 minutes. If degreasing is not complete, the silver layer may not deposit in some spots, causing exposed copper points. You can check by the water film test. After degreasing, the water film should stay continuous for at least 30 seconds.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"11863\" data-end=\"11876\">Micro-etch<\/h3><p data-start=\"11877\" data-end=\"12358\">Use sodium persulfate or a sulfuric acid + hydrogen peroxide system to micro-etch the copper.
