Como su nombre indica, es un tipo de placa de circuito que se dobla. Puede doblarse, enrollarse, estirarse y moverse en tres dimensiones. Los circuitos impresos flexibles se fabrican con una fina pel\u00edcula de poliimida o poli\u00e9ster. Ofrecen gran fiabilidad y muy buena flexibilidad.<\/p><p data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"933\"><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flexible_electronics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los circuitos impresos flexibles (FPC) tienen su origen en la d\u00e9cada de 1950.<\/a>, cuando investigadores estadounidenses desarrollaron t\u00e9cnicas para imprimir y grabar conductores planos en sustratos flexibles como alternativa a los mazos de cables tradicionales.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">.<\/span>\u00a0Los fabricantes utilizan pel\u00edculas de poli\u00e9ster o poliimida como base. Estas pel\u00edculas hacen que la placa sea resistente y flexible. Al incrustar los circuitos en finas l\u00e1minas de pl\u00e1stico, se pueden apilar muchas piezas peque\u00f1as en espacios reducidos. El resultado es un circuito que se puede doblar, plegar y encajar en formas compactas. Los circuitos flexibles son ligeros, ocupan poco espacio, se enfr\u00edan bien y son f\u00e1ciles de montar. El primero es la pel\u00edcula aislante. El segundo es el conductor. El tercero es el adhesivo. Estas partes trabajan juntas para satisfacer la necesidad de dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os y m\u00f3viles. Los circuitos flexibles permiten que los dispositivos sean m\u00e1s densos, peque\u00f1os y fiables.<\/span><\/p><hr data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1518\" \/><h1 data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1552\">Materiales utilizados en los PCB flexibles<\/h1><h2 data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1575\">1. Pel\u00edcula aislante<\/h2><p data-start=\"1576\" data-end=\"1771\">La pel\u00edcula aislante forma la capa base principal del circuito. El adhesivo se utiliza para unir la l\u00e1mina de cobre a la pel\u00edcula aislante. En los dise\u00f1os flexibles multicapa, la pel\u00edcula tambi\u00e9n se utiliza para unir las capas internas.<\/p><p data-start=\"1773\" data-end=\"1928\">La pel\u00edcula aislante protege el circuito del polvo y la humedad. Tambi\u00e9n reduce la tensi\u00f3n cuando la placa se dobla. La capa conductora es de l\u00e1mina de cobre.<\/p><p data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"2178\">Algunos circuitos flexibles utilizan piezas r\u00edgidas de aluminio o acero inoxidable. Estas piezas r\u00edgidas proporcionan estabilidad dimensional. Proporcionan soporte f\u00edsico a las piezas y los cables. Tambi\u00e9n reducen la tensi\u00f3n. El adhesivo une las piezas r\u00edgidas al circuito flexible.<\/p><p data-start=\"2180\" data-end=\"2429\">Otro material habitual es una capa de uni\u00f3n que recubre ambas caras de la pel\u00edcula aislante. Esta capa de uni\u00f3n a\u00edsla y ayuda a unir las capas. Puede eliminar la necesidad de algunas capas de pel\u00edcula y permite a los fabricantes unir muchas capas con menos piezas.<\/p><p data-start=\"2431\" data-end=\"2630\">Existen muchos tipos de l\u00e1minas aislantes. Las m\u00e1s utilizadas son las de poliimida y poli\u00e9ster. Alrededor del ochenta por ciento de los fabricantes de circuitos flexibles de EE.UU. utilizan pel\u00edcula de poliimida. Alrededor del veinte por ciento utiliza pel\u00edcula de poli\u00e9ster.<\/p><p data-start=\"2632\" data-end=\"3231\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dupont.com\/electronics-industrial\/kapton-polyimide-film.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Poliamida <\/a>no es f\u00e1cil de quemar. Mantiene su forma, resiste el desgarro y soporta el calor de la soldadura. El poli\u00e9ster, tambi\u00e9n llamado PET (tereftalato de polietileno), tiene caracter\u00edsticas f\u00edsicas parecidas a la poliimida. Tiene una constante diel\u00e9ctrica m\u00e1s baja y absorbe menos humedad. Pero no resiste tan bien el calor. El poli\u00e9ster se funde a unos 250\u00b0C y tiene una temperatura de transici\u00f3n v\u00edtrea (Tg) de unos 80\u00b0C. Esto limita su uso en productos que requieren soldaduras fuertes en los bordes de la placa. A bajas temperaturas, el poli\u00e9ster puede volverse r\u00edgido. Aun as\u00ed, el poli\u00e9ster es bueno para tel\u00e9fonos y otros productos que no se enfrentan a condiciones duras.<\/p><p data-start=\"3233\" data-end=\"3357\">Las l\u00e1minas de poliimida suelen combinarse con adhesivos de poliimida o acr\u00edlicos. Conductor<\/h2><p data-start=\"3375\" data-end=\"3733\">Las l\u00e1minas de cobre se adaptan bien a los circuitos flexibles. La l\u00e1mina de cobre puede fabricarse por electrodeposici\u00f3n (ED) o por laminaci\u00f3n y recocido (RA). Una cara del cobre ED es brillante. La otra cara tiene una superficie mate. El cobre ED es flexible y puede tener muchos grosores y anchuras. La cara mate del cobre ED suele recibir un tratamiento especial para que se adhiera mejor.<\/p><p data-start=\"3735\" data-end=\"3868\">El cobre RA es flexible y suave. Puede ser m\u00e1s resistente. Adhesivo<\/h2><p data-start=\"3885\" data-end=\"4147\">Los adhesivos hacen algo m\u00e1s que unir la pel\u00edcula aislante al conductor. Pueden actuar como capas de recubrimiento, revestimientos protectores o capas superpuestas. La principal diferencia es c\u00f3mo se aplica la capa. La capa de recubrimiento se adhiere a la pel\u00edcula aislante y forma una estructura laminada.<\/p><p data-start=\"4149\" data-end=\"4559\">La serigraf\u00eda se utiliza para cubrir y revestir con adhesivo. No todas las estructuras laminadas utilizan adhesivos. Los laminados sin adhesivo permiten fabricar circuitos m\u00e1s finos y flexibles. Tambi\u00e9n ofrecen una mejor transferencia de calor que los laminados con adhesivo. Al no haber una capa adhesiva que bloquee el calor, \u00e9ste se desplaza mejor por el circuito. Esto permite que los flexibles sin adhesivo funcionen en condiciones en las que los flexibles con adhesivo podr\u00edan fallar.<\/p><hr data-start=\"4561\" data-end=\"4564\" \/><h1 data-start=\"4566\" data-end=\"4615\">Pasos de soldadura para FPC (proceso de soldadura de FPC)<\/h1><p data-start=\"4617\" data-end=\"4783\">A continuaci\u00f3n se indican los pasos pr\u00e1cticos para soldar a mano un chip PQFP y piezas SMD comunes en circuitos flexibles. Utilice estos pasos como una gu\u00eda clara. Utilice una plancha para tratar las almohadillas. De este modo se evita un mal esta\u00f1ado o la oxidaci\u00f3n de las pastillas. Los chips no suelen necesitar trabajo previo.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4940\" data-end=\"5460\"><p data-start=\"4943\" data-end=\"5460\">Utilice unas pinzas para colocar con cuidado el chip PQFP en la placa de circuito impreso. Haga esto para evitar doblar o romper los cables. Alinee el chip con las almohadillas. Aseg\u00farese de que el chip apunta en la direcci\u00f3n correcta. Calienta la plancha a m\u00e1s de 300\u00b0C. Pon un poco de soldadura en la punta de la plancha. Presiona el chip alineado con una herramienta. A\u00f1ade una peque\u00f1a cantidad de soldadura a dos patillas diagonales. Sujeta el chip y suelda las dos patillas diagonales. Esto fijar\u00e1 el chip en su sitio. Una vez soldadas las dos patillas, comprueba la alineaci\u00f3n. Si es necesario, mueva o retire y vuelva a colocar el chip.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"5462\" data-end=\"5766\"><p data-start=\"5465\" data-end=\"5766\">Cuando empiece a soldar todas las patillas, a\u00f1ada soldadura a la punta del soldador. Aplique fundente a todas las patillas para mantenerlas h\u00famedas. Toque con la punta del soldador el extremo de cada patilla hasta que vea que la soldadura fluye hacia la patilla. Mantenga la punta del caut\u00edn paralela a las patillas durante la soldadura. As\u00ed evitar\u00e1s que se formen puentes entre las patillas por exceso de soldadura.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"5768\" data-end=\"6076\"><p data-start=\"5771\" data-end=\"6076\">Despu\u00e9s de soldar todas las patillas, utilice fundente para humedecerlas y limpiar la soldadura. Retire la soldadura sobrante para eliminar cortocircuitos y puentes. Por \u00faltimo, utilice unas pinzas para inspeccionar las juntas de soldadura en mal estado. Cuando termine, limpie la placa. Utiliza alcohol y un cepillo de cerdas duras, y pasa un pa\u00f1o en la direcci\u00f3n de las patillas hasta que desaparezcan los restos de soldadura.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"6078\" data-end=\"6282\"><p data-start=\"6081\" data-end=\"6282\">Las resistencias y condensadores SMD son m\u00e1s f\u00e1ciles. Coloque la pieza sobre una almohadilla. A continuaci\u00f3n, coloque un extremo sobre la almohadilla y suj\u00e9telo con unas pinzas. Suelde primero un extremo. Compruebe la colocaci\u00f3n. Si est\u00e1 alineado, suelde el otro extremo.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><hr data-start=\"6284\" data-end=\"6287\" \/><h1 data-start=\"6289\" data-end=\"6345\">Diferencias clave entre circuito impreso r\u00edgido y circuito flexible<\/h1><p data-start=\"6347\" data-end=\"6628\">Las placas de circuito impreso r\u00edgidas son lo que la gente suele considerar placas de circuito impreso. Utilizan conductores y otras piezas en una placa no conductora. La placa no conductora suele contener vidrio. El vidrio hace que la placa sea fuerte y r\u00edgida. Las PCB r\u00edgidas ofrecen un buen soporte para las piezas y una buena resistencia al calor.<\/p><p data-start=\"6630\" data-end=\"6927\">Las placas de circuito impreso flexibles tambi\u00e9n tienen trazas conductoras sobre una base no conductora. Pero la base es flexible, como la poliimida. Una base flexible permite al circuito doblarse, soportar vibraciones, enfriarse bien y adoptar muchas formas. Gracias a estas formas, los circuitos flexibles son ahora habituales en dise\u00f1os electr\u00f3nicos compactos y nuevos.<\/p><p data-start=\"6929\" data-end=\"7000\">Adem\u00e1s del material de base y la rigidez, existen otras grandes diferencias:<\/p><ul data-start=\"7002\" data-end=\"7467\"><li data-start=\"7002\" data-end=\"7135\"><p data-start=\"7004\" data-end=\"7135\">Elecci\u00f3n del conductor: Flex suele utilizar cobre RA m\u00e1s blando en lugar de cobre ED duro. Esto ayuda si el circuito debe doblarse sin agrietarse.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7137\" data-end=\"7259\"><p data-start=\"7139\" data-end=\"7259\">Fabricaci\u00f3n: Los fabricantes de Flex no utilizan m\u00e1scaras de soldadura como los PCB r\u00edgidos. Utilizan coverlay o covercoat para proteger las trazas desnudas.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7261\" data-end=\"7467\"><p data-start=\"7263\" data-end=\"7467\">Coste: Los circuitos flexibles suelen costar m\u00e1s que las placas r\u00edgidas. Pero una placa flexible permite a los ingenieros reducir el tama\u00f1o del producto. Esto puede reducir el coste total del producto, ya que fabricar o enviar un producto m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o puede costar menos.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><hr data-start=\"7469\" data-end=\"7472\" \/><h1 data-start=\"7474\" data-end=\"7521\">C\u00f3mo elegir entre placas de circuito impreso r\u00edgidas y flexibles<\/h1><p data-start=\"7523\" data-end=\"7747\">Ambos tipos pueden funcionar en muchos productos. Algunos usos se benefician m\u00e1s de un tipo. Por ejemplo, las placas de circuito impreso r\u00edgidas tienen sentido en productos m\u00e1s grandes, como televisores y ordenadores de sobremesa. Los productos compactos, como tel\u00e9fonos y wearables, suelen necesitar circuitos flexibles.<\/p><p data-start=\"7749\" data-end=\"7778\">Cuando elijas, piensa en:<\/p><ul data-start=\"7779\" data-end=\"7920\"><li data-start=\"7779\" data-end=\"7811\"><p data-start=\"7781\" data-end=\"7811\">Qu\u00e9 debe hacer su producto.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7812\" data-end=\"7867\"><p data-start=\"7814\" data-end=\"7867\">Lo que la industria utiliza normalmente para productos similares.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"7868\" data-end=\"7920\"><p data-start=\"7870\" data-end=\"7920\">C\u00f3mo el uso de un tipo puede cambiar los costes o el montaje.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"7922\" data-end=\"8067\">Si su dispositivo necesita plegarse, doblarse o ahorrar espacio, elija flex. Si necesita bajo coste y alta resistencia de montaje para piezas grandes, elija r\u00edgido.<\/p><hr data-start=\"8069\" data-end=\"8072\" \/><h1 data-start=\"8074\" data-end=\"8104\">Refuerzos para placas de circuito impreso flexibles<\/h1><p data-start=\"8106\" data-end=\"8355\">Los rigidizadores tambi\u00e9n se denominan placas de refuerzo, placas de apoyo o nervios de refuerzo. Se utilizan en electr\u00f3nica para controlar la flexi\u00f3n. Los rigidizadores resuelven el problema de las placas flexibles. Insulating film<\/h2><p data-start=\"1576\" data-end=\"1771\">The insulating film forms the main base layer for the circuit. Adhesive is used to bond copper foil to the insulating film. In multilayer flex designs, the film is also used to bond inner layers.<\/p><p data-start=\"1773\" data-end=\"1928\">The insulating film protects the circuit from dust and moisture. It also reduces stress when the board bends. The conductor layer is made from copper foil.<\/p><p data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"2178\">Some flex circuits use rigid parts made from aluminum or stainless steel. These rigid parts give dimensional stability. They give physical support for parts and wires. They also reduce stress. Adhesive bonds the rigid parts to the flexible circuit.<\/p><p data-start=\"2180\" data-end=\"2429\">Another common material is a bonding layer that coats both sides of the insulating film. This bonding layer gives insulation and helps join layers. It can remove the need for some film layers and lets manufacturers bond many layers with fewer parts.<\/p><p data-start=\"2431\" data-end=\"2630\">There are many insulating film types. The most used are polyimide and polyester. About eighty percent of flexible circuit makers in the US use polyimide film. About twenty percent use polyester film.<\/p><p data-start=\"2632\" data-end=\"3231\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dupont.com\/electronics-industrial\/kapton-polyimide-film.html\">Polyimide <\/a>is not easy to burn. It keeps its shape, resists tearing, and can stand soldering heat. Polyester, also called PET (polyethylene terephthalate), has physical traits close to polyimide. It has a lower dielectric constant and absorbs less moisture. But it does not resist high heat as well. Polyester melts at around 250\u00b0C and has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of about 80\u00b0C. This limits its use in products that need heavy board-edge soldering. In low temperature uses, polyester can act stiff. Still, polyester is good for phones and other products that do not face harsh conditions.<\/p><p data-start=\"3233\" data-end=\"3357\">Polyimide films are often paired with polyimide or acrylic adhesives. Conductor<\/h2><p data-start=\"3375\" data-end=\"3733\">Copper foil is a good fit for flexible circuits. Copper foil can be made by electro-deposition (ED) or by rolling and annealing (RA). One side of ED copper is shiny. The other side has a matte process surface. ED copper is bendable and can come in many thicknesses and widths. The matte side of ED copper often gets special treatment to make it stick better.<\/p><p data-start=\"3735\" data-end=\"3868\">RA copper is both flexible and smooth. It can be stronger. Adhesive<\/h2><p data-start=\"3885\" data-end=\"4147\">Adhesives do more than bond the insulating film to the conductor. They can act as cover layers, protective coatings, or overlay layers. The main difference is how the layer is applied. The cover layer bonds to the insulating film and forms a laminated structure.<\/p><p data-start=\"4149\" data-end=\"4559\">Screen printing is used for adhesive coverage and coating. Not all laminated structures use adhesives. Adhesive-free laminates make thinner, more flexible circuits. They also offer better heat transfer than adhesive-based laminates. Because there is no adhesive layer to block heat, heat moves through the circuit better. This lets adhesive-free flex operate in conditions where adhesive-based flex might fail.<\/p><hr data-start=\"4561\" data-end=\"4564\" \/><h1 data-start=\"4566\" data-end=\"4615\">Soldering steps for FPC (FPC soldering process)<\/h1><p data-start=\"4617\" data-end=\"4783\">Below are practical steps for hand soldering a PQFP chip and common SMD parts on flexible circuits. Use these steps as a clear guide. Use an iron to treat the pads. This avoids bad tinning or pad oxidation. Chips usually do not need pre-work.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4940\" data-end=\"5460\"><p data-start=\"4943\" data-end=\"5460\">Use tweezers to carefully place the PQFP chip on the PCB. After those two pins are soldered, check alignment. If needed, move or remove and re-place the chip.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"5462\" data-end=\"5766\"><p data-start=\"5465\" data-end=\"5766\">When you start soldering all pins, add solder to the iron tip. Apply flux to all pins to keep them wet. Touch the iron tip to the end of each pin until you see solder flow into the pin. Keep the iron tip parallel to the pins during soldering. This helps stop pins from bridging due to too much solder.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"5768\" data-end=\"6076\"><p data-start=\"5771\" data-end=\"6076\">After soldering all pins, use flux to wet all pins and clean the solder. Remove extra solder to remove shorts and bridges. Finally, use tweezers to inspect for bad solder joints. When done, clean the board. They use conductors and other parts on a non-conductive board. The non-conductive board often contains glass. The glass makes the board strong and stiff.
