PCB & PCBA Quality Control
A reliable build starts before production. FLJ PCB connects manufacturing review, material control, process inspection and agreed testing to help your boards arrive ready for the next stage of your product.

Quality control across the manufacturing process
PCB quality control checks the board construction and electrical connections. PCBA quality control adds component identity, placement, solder joints, firmware and operating functions. Combining these checks gives a clearer picture than a single final inspection.
Our engineering, procurement, production and quality teams work from the agreed manufacturing package. For a prototype, the emphasis may be first-article feedback and practical testing. A repeat production order may also need defined inspection records, configuration control and receiving documentation.
You can start by sending the information you have. We review the design and discuss the inspection methods and documents that make sense for your application, quantity and delivery plan.
| Build stage | Quality activity | Customer benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Engineering review | Review board files, BOM, assembly information and open technical questions | Resolve manufacturing issues before the build |
| Incoming materials | Check material identification, component information and the agreed sourcing route | Keep the build aligned with the approved specification |
| Process control | Prepare printing, placement, soldering and inspection settings | Support repeatable manufacturing |
| Inspection and testing | Combine visual, optical, hidden-joint and electrical methods | Check the features relevant to the design |
| Release and packing | Review agreed results, identification and protective packaging | Support a clear handoff to your receiving team |
Start with the design and materials
Manufacturing review connects your Gerber data, stack-up, hole details and finished-board requirements with the production route. For assembly, we also review the BOM, placement information, package types and any special soldering or mechanical instructions.
Component sourcing follows the agreed part numbers and purchasing arrangement. If availability raises a question, our team discusses options with you rather than silently changing the design. Customer-supplied materials can be included in the same preparation and incoming inspection process.

Inspection where it helps the build
Different inspection methods answer different questions. We select a practical combination around the board and package mix.
Optical inspection and X-ray complement electrical testing; they do not replace a functional check of the product. We help establish the coverage, fixtures and pass/fail results that your engineering team needs.
| Metode | What it checks | Where it helps |
|---|---|---|
| First-article review | Component identity, orientation and assembly details | New designs and production setup |
| Solder paste inspection | Paste deposits before placement | Printing process feedback |
| Automated optical inspection | Visible component and solder features | Post-assembly inspection |
| X-ray inspection | Selected hidden solder joints | BGA and other packages with concealed connections |
| Electrical and functional testing | Specified circuit connections and operating behavior | Verification against the project test plan |
Clear acceptance and useful records
The order connects the drawing, approved revisions and relevant acceptance criteria. Bare boards and populated assemblies have different inspection needs, so the applicable IPC document, revision and class belong to the manufacturing discussion.
Your receiving team may need an outgoing inspection report, first-article results, test records or configuration identification. Discuss these documents with us at quotation so the records can be prepared alongside the build. Where a quality issue is identified, the technical review should connect the affected material, assembly condition and corrective action.
Quality systems that support supplier qualification
FLJ PCB / Philifast’s published credentials include ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. These address quality, sector-specific management, environmental management and occupational health and safety within their applicable certification scopes.
Our team can discuss the current certificates and manufacturing scope for your supplier review. Product acceptance, material declarations and finished-product approvals are separate parts of the qualification package; we help you identify the documents relevant to the work you are buying.
Frequently asked questions
Can you help define an inspection plan for a new assembly?
Yes. Send the available design files and describe the functions you want to check. We can discuss first-article inspection, optical or X-ray inspection and the practical route to electrical or functional testing.
Does every assembly need all inspection methods?
The combination depends on the design. Hidden joints, component mix, test access and the product’s intended use help determine which checks provide useful coverage.
Can we receive inspection and test records?
Discuss the records your team needs when we review the order. We can align the report scope with the agreed inspection and testing activities.
